Things that make us happy
It's time to think about nice things. Things that, although it seems impossible now, we are going to feel again soon. Very soon.
Now is the time of thinking about things and situations that will make us move away from the house that each time seems smaller. From these narrower and narrower walls and is increasingly acute anguish. It is time to allow our imagination to returns and our senses to become more acute. It's time to savour that routine that once seemed repetitive and which we now miss more than ever. It's time to appreciate the small things, the gestures and the actions in which happiness is hidden.
From MON PORT we want to encourage you to tell us where happiness for you lies.
For us, happiness is in simple things.
For example, in that moment before we dive into the sea, the noise that a stopper makes when coming out of a bottle of wine or the first day of sandals with our feet in the air. Happiness consists of reading on a terrace and having dinner with friends, a night of cinema and a mid-afternoon walk. Happiness is a silent sunset and the noise of the street when you start to wake up.
Happiness is boarding a plane and discovering a new destination, getting lost in its narrow streets and finding yourself at the end of the road. Happiness is a meaningful embrace and a swim in the pool. Happiness is driving, singing in the car and looking out the window. It is starting a book and goes shopping. Happiness lies in gastronomy and discovering a new restaurant. In a drink at sunset from a terrace with a view of the city and in an accurate and safe place: see you tomorrow.
It is curious how Gabriel García Márquez told us that in Macondo he discovered that the place where we had been happy we shouldn't try to return to. Because for us, right now, the only thing we feel like doing is coming back and never leaving again.
The happiness of travelling begins in the imagination. Planning the trip, with whom, how and until when. Perhaps it is time to start travelling with the preparations to have everything ready in time for action.
