Digital Nomads, welcome to Majorca
In March 2020 the world collapsed, and this seemed to change everything: the streets were empty and, in many cases, our homes ended up becoming offices.
It looked like teleworking was here to stay. Meetings through a screen, questions answered with a call and workmates that, although kilometres apart, did not seem to have lost one iota of affinity and efficiency.
This was the start of what are now known as Digital Nomads, workers capable of performing their duties and responsibilities anywhere in the world. Swedish, English, German and French workers who, even though their offices are based in their cities of origin, seek refuge in Majorca and our 300 days of sun.
Majorca is a paradise for Digital Nomads for several reasons:
- -Without good internet connection remote work is not very productive. Thus, one of the main reasons the island is a good destination for remote work is its connectivity. For the past few years 4G is a usual fixture in Palma and its surroundings. Cafes and restaurants enjoy excellent internet connectivity. This means that the option of having a high-speed network available to work from a sunny terrace is more than viable.
- -Son Sant Joan Airport, one of Europe’s busiest, has connections to all the large European capitals.
- -Due to the boom of freelance and remote workers, there is the possibility of finding different coworking spaces prepared for workers without physical headquarters. This is also an excellent option for making contacts.
- -One of Majorca’s strong points is its lifestyle. A leisurely pace, 300 days of sun, healthy Mediterranean cuisine and its capital, Palma, which is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and prepared to receive visitors from all over the world.
- -At Monport we know how important it is to have an environment focused on productivity, and we have prepared everything to welcome you so that your stay can be as productive as it is pleasurable. Teleworking in Majorca is a reality.
Majorca has achieved that coveted work/pleasure balance, an ideal equation to eliminate the stress and oppression of spending hours locked up in an office. Enjoying your workday with views of the sea holding a llonguet and a hot coffee in the Majorcan sun is a dream which more and more people can now achieve.
