How to make the best out of one week in Mallorca?
There is no doubt that Mallorca is one of the most beautiful islands of the Balearic archipelago. It is a beautiful island that will fascinate you with its purity and sensational landscapes. An island of turquoise beaches, green and steep mountains, and villages with a very special charm.
At MON PORT we are of the opinion that it is worth discovering it in depth, without haste and very calmly. That is why we are going to explain to you how to make the most of a week in Mallorca without missing any of its hidden treasures.
If you have 7 days to visit Mallorca, let us advise you. We have prepared an itinerary with some of the essential places that every traveler should visit and enjoy in this Mediterranean island.
First Day
We begin our proposal with one of the most charming places on the island, Puerto de Andratx. A natural port of the Balearic Islands, surrounded by coves of transparent waters. One of the most impressive, that will leave you speechless, is a cove of stone and rocks, known as Cala Cranc. It is a small place with crystal clear waters where you can relax and breathe the fresh air, one of the main characteristics of our coasts.
To finish off the day at the beach, there is nothing better than relaxing with a drink in one of the terraces of cafes, bars and restaurants that you can find in the port area. Find a spot and relax while enjoying the view and the Mediterranean climate.
Second Day
We continue this proposal of activities recommending the Natural Park of Sa Dragonera. It is located on a small island, near to the west of the territory. The aridity, relief and marine influence make it an exceptional natural wealth.
To visit the park, all you need to do is get on a boat in the Port of Andratx or in the village of Sant Elm. Once there, you can enjoy the majestic views from the coast and discover the emerald blue of the Mediterranean. A fantastic visit that you can enjoy all day long, connecting yourself with Balearic nature.
Third Day
Contrasting with the tranquility and nature, for the third day on the island from MON PORT we recommend a visit to Palma de Mallorca. A beautiful city that invites you to get lost in its narrow and charming streets. Here, you will find one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Spain, La Seu, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by the Jewish quarter and the most commercial areas of Palma.
You can also lose yourself in many other places of interest in the city such as La Almudaina, La Lonja, the Es Baluard Museum, the Bellver Castle... In Palma de Mallorca there is always something to see and enjoy. It is a place full of life where plans are never lacking.
Fourth Day
Arriving at the meridian of the trip, you can not miss the opportunity to take a short excursion by train. There is a route that takes you to the charming village of Sóller, located on the northwest coast of the island. This centenary wooden train stands out for its special and attractive route through the wonderful Tramuntana, passing through orange and lemon groves to enjoy excellent views of this beautiful valley. There are departures from Palma every day until the afternoon, but you should check the timetable schedule carefully.
Fifth Day
One of the best visual spectacles that nature gives us are the sunsets. In Mallorca, there are countless places where you can enjoy the "magic hour". One of them is also one of the best viewpoints on the island, the Formentor lighthouse.
Located in the far north of the island, the Formentor lighthouse is a place of extraordinary natural beauty, it transmits serenity and tranquillity thanks to its captivating views, and it is also the perfect spot to enjoy a heavenly sunset. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this lighthouse after lunch and spend the afternoon in the surrounding area while you wait.
Sixth Day
Mallorca would not be Mallorca without a day to enjoy one of its beaches. At MON PORT we recommend that you spend the whole day at one of the most paradisiacal beaches, Es Trenc.
This is the last great undeveloped sandy area on the island. A very well preserved beach, with a wild touch that will captivate you. Its turquoise waters, bright white sand and its atmosphere have made it one of the most iconic beaches on the island.
Seventh Day
Finally, we can't let you leave Mallorca without enjoying all the charm of the Tramuntana mountain range. How? Well, with a stroll through the villages of the mountain range, such as Deià and Banyalbufar.
These villages are located in the southwest of the island. They have traditional Mallorcan houses facing the sea and their enigmatic cobbled streets make the visit worthwhile. In addition, its beautiful, small and quiet beaches will make your visit an unforgettable experience.
From MON PORT we hope that this small itinerary that we have prepared explaining to you how to make the most of a week in Mallorca will be useful for you. Remember that it's simply a proposal that we offer you so that you don't miss out on the essence of the island
