The thermometer may indicate that summer is already over and many may think that they can forget about Mallorca, the island of sun and beach, until next summer.

However, Mallorca is a perfect destination for autumn, and we at Monport would like to give you some reasons why you should visit Mallorca in autumn:

1.The climate: Although temperatures drop in winter, Mallorca has a pleasant and warm climate all year round. On a sunny autumn day, the temperature can easily reach 20 degrees Celsius. These are still ideal conditions for taking a dip on the half-empty beaches, a true luxury.
2.Discover the Serra de Tramuntana: Due to the lower number of tourists, it is easier to get around the island and visit places and sights. A variety of excursions, hiking routes and walks in the Serra de Tramuntana allow you to discover the island's wildest beauty. Fairytale villages whose visit is best topped off with a delicious spoon dish in a restaurant with beautiful views.
3.Old town: no crowds, no queues, no pushing, no hordes of people waiting to photograph the cathedral. You can take a leisurely walk through the city centre. The city walls, the Jewish quarter, the Arab baths and the main shopping streets invite you to stroll around. Take the opportunity to have breakfast in one of the city's wonderful speciality cafés. There are many and they are very good.
4.Visit one of the market halls: Are you one of those who likes to live like the locals? The Mercat de Santa Catalina, the Mercat de l'Olivar or even the Mercat de Pere Garau are great places to feel the rhythm of the city. Seeing what the locals buy, strolling among the stalls or being seduced by the smells is a unique experience. Our recommendation is simple: buy quality products and have them prepared on the spot. 5.Art route: If you are interested in art, we invite you to take a walk around the city centre and visit the different galleries in the city: Pelaires, Red Gallery, Es Baluard or the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation.

Mallorca is sun and beach, but also culture, art, gastronomy, nature and many other surprises that you will discover if you let yourself be seduced by the island and its special sense of time.
